Resident Evil 5: Games for Windows Live Patch

⚠ The fix is not officially approved by CAPCOM, use it on your own risk!

ⓘ Since capcom have officially removed the Games for Windows Live support for Resident Evil 5, this patch is no longer needed.

Since Games for Windows Live is no longer supported, this patch aims to restore online functionality to the game without requiring the original GFWL client.

Firstly go to this link to download the patch.

When downloaded, extract the contents of the patch to the game's installation directory, typically located at

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Resident Evil 5"

After moving the files, start the game as usual.

And that's it! You should now be able to play Resident Evil 5 online without the need for Games for Windows Live.

This patch also includes various bug fixes and improvements to enhance the overall gaming experience. Like:

• Split Screen support
• Remaster Options for: Better FOV cam, QTE support, Shadow details
• Country code flags fix
• Main Weapon drop in Versus mode
• Some fixes to help people that could not start the game
